Key findings were on campaigns and membership, and 75 of you participated in our most extensive Survey about the Trust we've had at least online.
58% of you taking part in this survey said that you would like us to campaign on securing Valley Parade as an Asset of Community Value. This is the most popular issue members felt we should campaign on, so we will definitely endeavour to explore opportunities to secure the ground as a community asset in the coming months.
Another key finding was on membership. Currently our membership is free and we have a 'patron' membership as well, which means patrons pay a standing order/direct debit which is in the main our only income and enables us to afford to sponsor Club players and managers and other community initiatives that can in the long run generate more supporters / income of the Club.
Whilst 51% of you prefer a free membership, members understand that any benefits will be limited if we stay as we are. That said, a significan number answering this question feel that that £5 is a reasonable price for new members to pay to join. At the same time, 61% of participant would like membership card and 47% of you would like discounts at retailers and food/drink establishments within the Bradford area.
What we have come up with is that we keep membership free and if supporters join wanting the the membershp card and discounts can do paying the £5 minimum, and that patrons will get them automatically.
Regarding interest in volunteering and helping out with the Trust, a number of you expressed an interest in all areas such as, media communications, diversity, community outreach, events, other professional skills, etc. and left your contact details. We will be getting in touch with those of you who have expressed an interest in the next few weeks.
As we will be transferring to a new website shortly, we can get those features in place after that transfer takes place.
You can see the findings of the Trust Members' Survey 2019/20 here. We have blanked any personal data such as names and emails in line with data protection.
